Marlena Hummel found her love for the arts in dance first. She trained for 8 years at Bates Dance Studios. The last 4 of which she danced competitively with their junior dance company traveling the state of Kansas.
Shortly after her last tour with BDS, she found herself on the stage once again. Only this time, as an actress. During her senior year of high school, she auditioned for and was accepted to The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC.
She trained at The Academy for 2 years, specializing in Hagen, Laban, Meisner, and Shakespeare techniques. She graduated as Class Speaker with an Associate’s Degree in June of 2021.
Marlena spent the rest of Covid-19 in Atlanta. She was able to work on multiple sets such as Class of ‘09, The Beanie Bubble, and P-Valley, as background and a featured extra.
Marlena now lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
